Mechanic at Rural King in Powderly, KY

Summary: At Rural King, we service what we sell. The primary role of the Automotive Service Technician is to ensure top quality service and safety for the customer as well as the employees. This position requires an interactive sales approach, keen awareness of safety & loss prevention, maintenance of store and shop cleanliness and appearance, excellent customer service and a positive attitude.

Expert mechanical abilities in small engine, diesel, and hydraulic systemsInitiate outstanding sales and service on all work orders

Ensure exceptional safety of equipment & tools as well as cleanliness of tire shop

Provide high-quality repair services on all work orders

Work orders must be made for all customer repair work for proper documentation

Responsible for completing all warranty paperwork in a timely manner

Responsible for special order parts for all work orders

Responsible for completing service work in a timely manner

Familiar with standard concepts and practices within the retail environment

Implement merchandising & pricing as delegated from Store Manager

Communicates professionally with all Rural King employees as well as customers

Standing or walking for long periods of time

Heavy and repetitive lifting

Bending, carrying, and pushing

Use of a Telexon gun

Must be able to work 40 hour work week if full time

All other duties as assigned
